Steven has personally sold over 400
restaurant, bar/or club businesses
since 1996. (see the section titled
Restaurants Sold). His real estate
experience also includes sales,
acquisitions and management of
numerous properties throughout
California including single family
homes, apartments and hotels.
Prior to starting Restaurant Realty
Steven had over 20 years of
restaurant experience and was
President and Chief Executive
Officer of Zim's Restaurants, which
was one of the largest privately
owned restaurant chains in the San
Francisco Bay Area.
Steven is a graduate of the
University of San Francisco's School
of Business Administration and
Cornell University's School of Hotel
Administration and holds a State of
California College Teaching
Credential and California State Real
Estate Brokers License. Steven has
taught management courses at San
Francisco City College Hotel and
Restaurant School and the former
School for Hotel, Restaurant and
Institutional Management at Golden
Gate University. Steven has been a
regular guest lecturer at the
California Culinary Academy (CCA) in
San Francisco for several years,
and is a member of the Golden Gate
Restaurant Association, Cornell
University's Hotel Society, Cornell
University's Real Estate Council,
California Association of Business
Brokers (CABB), and the
International Business Brokers
Association (IBBA). Steven also
chairs a monthly community homeless
lunch program in Marin County.

Jacob Zimmerman, President and
Owner, Restaurants For Sale Online,
LLC
Jacob launched Restaurants For Sale
Online in 1999 which has since grown
to be one of the largest listing
services exclusive to food-service
business opportunities.
Simultaneously Jacob works for
Restaurant Realty Company,
California's largest restaurant
business brokerage, acting as the
Director of Information Technology
providing IT management, online
marketing and restaurant valuation
analysis. Jacob speaks with
restaurant owners and operators on a
daily basis and has developed
relationships with thousands of
owners and brokers throughout the
United States and some international
locations.
Jacob has also previously worked as
a Consulting and Valuation Analyst
for HVS International in the San
Francisco office where he conducted
hotel/motel valuations, market
studies, feasibility reports, and
preparation of sales offering
packets. Jacob has assisted in
appraising close to $2 billion in
hospitality real estate assets.
During his time at HVS, Jacob
established corporate contacts with
every single major hospitality
company in the world including
Marriott, Hilton, Starwood,
Fairmont, Four Seasons, Hyatt,
Carlson, Wyndham, Kimpton, Accor,
Intercontinental, and Cendant. Jacob
has also developed relationships
with Managing Directors and Vice
Presidents of consulting firms and
banks including Citigroup, Deutsche
Bank, Merrill Lynch, U.S. Bank,
GMAC, CIGNA, Capital Source, CW
Capital, Formation Capital, Union
Bank of California, HVS
International, and PKF Consulting.
Jacob is a graduate of Cornell
University where he received a
Bachelor of Science from the School
of Hotel Administration with a
concentration in Real Estate
Development. Jacob also served as
the first Director of Information
Technology for the Cornell Hotel
Society Collegiate Chapter.
